Camping Trip 2017

Family Life, Personal

RY3A1486

Every year my Dad takes the oldest kids off on a short little camping trip while the youngest kids stay home with Mom. This year Joey was old enough to come which meant Lucy was the only one who stayed home (and she was most definitely heartbroken when we were leaving). We tend to go back and forth from mountain/woodsy campgrounds to water/beach campgrounds and this year was the beach’s turn. We’ve actually been to this same campsite about four or five years ago and we all loved it so much that we knew we definitely wanted to come back. The great thing is that we go during the week when no one else is there so we pretty much have the campground to ourselves. It’s right on the Chesapeake Bay and has the most spectacular sunsets. This year did not disappoint. It was relaxing and low-key and even though it was definitely chillier than last time, we still all really enjoyed our short getaway. I made a video of our trip which you can find at the bottom of this post. 🙂
